On behalf of a global company who manufacture and install process infrastructure, RobLawMax are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee their Queensland project portfolio. You will be responsible for the delivery of around 6-8 project per year primarily from pre-sale through to post commissioning hand-over. You will be responsible for providing technical and commercial input to the pre-sale phase, then defining scope and programme once secured. You will then work with the internal production and procurement teams to ensure delivery of plant, while also co-ordinating with the Installation team to plan availability of resources.
Projects will typically be in either Cairns or Bundaberg, however you may also be required to assist in the delivery of additional projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. It is expected that the position will be a 50% split between travel and working from home (preferred point of origin would be SE Queensland with proximity to domestic and international airports, Bundaberg or Cairns).
The ideal candidate will be an experienced project or program manager with proven experience successfully delivering high value capital projects and installations. Key duties will include:
Manage projects from pre-sale, through construction and commissioning
Define project scope for customised turnkey solutions
Manage and communicate variations to scope
Build project programmes that include resource requirements
Co-ordinate with production and procurement departments to ensure timely delivery
Oversee internal installation team to ensure programme and cost milestones are achieved
Provide high level customer service, while keeping clients abreast of changes to the programme, variations or cost ramifications
Complete production and cost reports
To be considered for this Project Management role you will ideally possess:
A Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical or Mechanical) or similar (preferred)
Extensive project management experience with proven success in delivering high value engineering solutions
Relevant industry experience - ideally in a process infrastructure capacity (FMCG or similar)
Exceptional organisational, communication and relationship management skills
Ability to interact with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure optimal project delivery
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
