About the role Council is looking for a dynamic individual responsible for undertaking construction and maintenance works on Councils buildings, roads, drainage, bridges and associated assets. The key duties include the construction and maintenance of kerb and gutter, stormwater drainage pipes and pits, placing and finishing concrete, timber and concrete bridges, building maintenance and the operation of small plant and equipment. The position also includes staff and contractor supervision. You will require a relevant Trade qualification and extensive experience in the road maintenance and construction industry with a passion for safety and quality while being a valuable team leader.
Whats on Offer The position is offered on a permanent full time basis and is placed at Grade 5 of Councils salary system. The salary offered is in the range of $1,095.50 to $1,232.29 (plus super and allowances), per week depending upon competency level and in accordance with Councils Salary Policy. This position currently offers a benefit of a 38 hour 4 day working week with ongoing training and professional development.
