Queenscliff Marine Services are looking for an Apprentice Marine Mechanic to join our small friendly team located at Queenscliff Harbour. 

You will have the opportunity to learn how to work on a wide range of vessels ranging from various outboard motors right up to heavy diesel engines. This is an exciting opportunity that will see you enjoy a great working atmosphere while learning on the job. 

Marine Mechanics enjoy a variety of interesting tasks including engine rebuilding, servicing, installing accessories, upgrading & repairing wiring, completing new boat fit ups, pre-delivery tasks & working with lifestyle products in a great environment. Many marine skills are transferable into other automotive trades.

The successful applicant will have completed a minimum of year 10, be physically fit, reliable, and able to demonstrate a strong interest in the marine or automotive industry. 

New apprentice positions require a commitment of four years to learn and develop the specialised skills both at work and at TAFE.

Overtime and weekend work may be required from time to time.
