Reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Communications, you will join the small Communications team to provide high level management and delivery of the full suite of media and communications activities required to build robust stakeholder relationships.
You will be a highly motivated self-starter with advanced interpersonal and high-level communication skills and posses a collaborative and continuous improvement approach to work. Your ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines is crucial.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Provide the full suite of media and communication activities
Build and maintain productive and effective stakeholder relationships
Actively manage all media enquiries, draft press releases and statements
Provide high-level support to the CEO and Chair through the provision of appropriate media copy, speechwriting, talking points and briefing papers.
Pre-requisites for the role:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Experience and understanding of the machinery of government and parliamentary processes.
Experience working in a media management environment or equivalent.
High-level communications / media skills and experience (3+ years).
Advanced verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
