Accounts Payable/ Payroll Officer

The Client:

This well established family based manufacturing company located in the Braeside area continue to achieve success and acclaim through the service they provide and high quality goods they produce.  As a result of recent changes they are currently seeking a suitably experienced candidate to join their Finance Team as the Accounts Payable/ Payroll Officer
  
The Role:

Working as the Accounts Payable/ Payroll Officer you will be responsible for managing all AP & Payroll functions for the business as well as supporting the Financial Controller.  This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis!

Key Responsibilities:

Some of your actual duties will include;

  • Liaising with Employees and their Managers, the Union and AIG, in relation to all matters pertaining to EBA, NES and Award
  • RTW Co-ordinator, in charge of processing Workcover claims, attending conciliations, liaising with Employee and Insurance Company to enable a safe return to work
  • Set up new Employees ensuring working rights 
  • Run weekly payroll for approx; 10 employee's
  • Be familiar with company quality policy, quality objectives, quality procedures and work instructions
  • Processing of Suppliers invoices, matching them to our purchase order and delivery docket, checking that quantity and pricing is correct
  • Maintain Employee data base
  • Reconcile to suppliers statement and create remittances  Maintain the NAB Data base with correct details for domestic and international suppliers 
  • Liaise with Customers regarding Accounts generally
  • Reconcile all company credit cards
  • In conjunction with QC Manager, assist with maintaining the Approved Supplier files
  • Process payments to their bank account or raise a cheque

The Skills Required:

  • M1 experience will be considered an Advantage
  • Training in WorkCover requirements
  • Good phone manner
  • Methodical and clear headed, particularly under pressure
  • Team player
  • Training in WorkCover requirements
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • General Administration work. Ie typing, filing ordering etc.
