    The Role

    Having recently centralised our Accounts team as part of a new Finance structure we are looking to bring two new team members to be a part of this new Shared Services team. You will be involved in a variety of transaction processing including payables, receivables, gifts and charitable donations; this is a role for a true accounts all-rounder looking to roll up their sleeves. Over the next few months we will continue to evolve our transaction processing and will get you involved in automation of the function.

    You will be accountable for:
  • Timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Maintaining files including up-to-date debtor and creditor r records in the Finance and associated systems and ensuring records are stored as soft/hard copies in the appropriate storage systems.Ensuring timely reconciliation and payment of supplier's invoices
  • Ensuring timely reconciliation and issue of debtor statement's and providing the relevant business managers with timely debtors reports.
  • Maintain professional communications as the key point of contact with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact and manage cooperative working relationships with both internal stakeholders, external suppliers and Society members
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
  • Proactive approach in Identifying and contributing to process improvements in the financial transaction processing and associated areas.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of general accounting principles, accounts maintenance, accounts payable, receivable and asset management.
  • Experience with using large Accounting Software packages such as Great Plains or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of customer service in a financial and administrative services environment and a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Proven ability to meet tight timeframes, manage workflows and multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
