Our client based in the Albury Surrounding Area are currently seeking a experienced machinist.
This position is initially a Full Time Casual role, with the opportunity for on going, Full Time contract. There may also be opportunity to develop into more senior roles within the team.
The successful candidate will be required to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities include:
Operate machines in a safe manner.
Study job cards and relevant technical drawings and ensure that the forging is machined according to these instructions.
Follow all guidelines as set out in the Company Policy Manual.
Ensure that the highest quality standards are adhered to.
Follow instructions provided by the workshop supervisor and senior management.
Keep your machine clean and in good functional order.
Report any damage to machines or equipment to your supervisor.
Adhere to all housekeeping rules.
Optimise the use of tools and minimise expenses.
Suggest improvements to your supervisor.
Improve quality and reduce waste
Comply with and ensure compliance with PCC Ethics code of conduct.
Comply with and ensure compliance PCC Cardinal Rules of Quality.
The successful candidate must be able to be work shift work (day, afternoon and night shift) dependant on labour requirements. Candidates who cannot perform these shifts need not apply.
Skills and experience
Trade certificate in engineering, metal machining or relevant experience as a machinist
CNC Lathe Operational Experience including Fanuc would be advantageous.
