Join a well-established, national, high profile Company in the building and construction industry who continue to develop and distribute innovative quality building products & solutions to various customers segments (Residential & Home Improvement, Industrial, Commercial). Manufacturing and processing to order, with often short lead times, the Company offer a range of building products, systems & solutions as well as providing technical design assistance.

As Hands on State Manager for NSW, reporting to the General Manager, your role will be to continue to drive and build the NSW business to the next level of success by proactively leading, developing and managing your team to achieve set company objectives, sales revenue and profit margins.   In leading from the front, you will be involved in all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations, delivering strategic business initiatives, and working closely in managing your team and profit centre.  Thus you will be involved in: sales, managing key customers and relationships, marketing (product and market development), manufacturing & operations, overseeing tenders and project management, process improvement & operational efficiencies, OH & S, finance, training and development, and cultural change.  

You will be a proven and successful hands on, proactive, practical,  entrepreneurial and most of all resilient Leader having worked in medium to large sized businesses in the building products industry (ie metal, roofing, walling, faade, insulation etc) and can therefore demonstrate:  a strong knowledge & technical understanding of the building and construction industry in the various market segments (Residential, Industrial, Retail and Commercial), management of a production team in a continuous and made to order manufacturing environment, experience in a supply and fit / design and construction installation business.    With a proven track record in managing and growing medium sized businesses ($30M+), you will have demonstrated strong sales management, sales, business development and marketing skills, strong operational, contract, commercial, and financial capability, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills - know how to manage and motivate a team, encourage a customer service-oriented culture, and build on the success of an established business in a competitive and specialised marketplace.   Great opportunity to truly demonstrate your Leadership and Management skills and abilities, take ownership of the business, and be rewarded for your success!
