The Brindle Group is an independent supermarket chain that operates a number of IGA stores, speciality gourmet grocers and other boutique retail outlets. With our expanding business a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the Finance team at our head office based in Applecross.
The person we are seeking must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and oral, can think on their feet and who can use their logic to solve problems. A person quick to learn new systems and processes and understands the urgency that can arise unexpectedly in such a busy environment. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
You will be part of an accounts team of 6 reporting to the Financial Controller of the business and working alongside other accounts officers. Key responsibilities of the role are to provide end to end accounts payable; provide assistance to the Accountant and Financial Controller with weekly and end of month procedures including reconciliations and report preparation. Our invoice data collection systems is via a scanning system so there is minimal data entry.
Experience & Skills
Essential accounts payable
Essential Compiling payment runs
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
Online reconciliation of scanned invoices to supplier statements
Experience using Attache, MYOB, HR3, Timetarget is very desirable
Microsoft office capabilities
Very strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Capable of meeting tight deadlines
This is a fulltime permanent role Monday to Friday, office hours at our Applecross Office. A police clearance is required for the successful applicant.
