Our client is a well-regarded defence company based in NSW who are going through a huge growth period. They are looking for an experienced Quality Controller with a background in Automotive or defence to join their growing team.

Your new job:

  • Establish best practices, product quality documentation systems and internal procedures to attain finest QA methodologies and provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to comply with requirements
  • Developing test cases and test scenarios based on the business requirements, define test data for test execution and expected test result criteria.

What you will need to succeed:

  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering, or relevant discipline with 3+ years of industrial experience.
  • Experience with product testing, R and D, Certification, and quality control
  • Experienced in using Inventor and Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD)
  • In-depth knowledge of Validation, Verification processes and Quality Management System
  • Have worked in a fast-paced, innovative, high quality, regulated, engineering environment such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense or similar industry is essential.
  • Should be an Australian citizen.
  • Assists with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects.
  • Tracking, control and resolution of testing issues and queries.
  • Possess an eye for detail and great problem-solving skills, ability to assist with troubleshooting and ability to evaluate risk and prioritise tasks accordingly

Highly desired experience:

  • Good knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD experience
  • Investigate product failures and determine the root cause of failure and implement corrective action plans and managing closure of issue with suppliers to ensure robust and timely solutions
  • Review test requests and develop test plans
  • Managing quality documentation systems
  • Implementation of procedures and process that are supported by document control requirements
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • Assist in trouble shooting and root cause analysis
  • Good understanding of product requirements and design concepts, components, and products in compliance with applicable quality system procedures, industry and business standards, and regulations
