Payroll Officer

About the role

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for the end to end payroll processing function for 400+ wages employees across multiple sites and businesses on a fortnightly basis. Using ichris (chris21) and a combination of TANDA (time & attendance) and timesheet entry.

Outside of the fortnightly processing these are some of the other requirements including:

  • Processing employee transfers and pay rate changes and pay enquiries.
  • EBA and Award interpretation and application.
  • End of month reporting.
  • Ensuring superannuation and tax requirements are met.
  • Generating HR reports out of payroll systems as part of the fortnightly, monthly processes as well as adhoc reporting as required.

Ideally the successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a full function payroll position.
  • Experience using a sophisticated processing system, ideally chris21 or similar.
  • Experience working within a time and attendance system.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing, timesheets, superannuation, PAYG Tax, terminations and Award requirements.
