The Company

MJM provides high quality contract labour to tier1 mining companies across Australia and has a locally based workshop in Horsham. Working for large mining corporations requires accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job, from data entry to mechanical servicing the MJM team provides.

The Role

  • Job Management - scheduling field contracts and workshop staff, manage time sheets and new projects, purchase orders/deliveries, invoicing, fuel cards, job starts, documentation preparation for new sites, record customer machine hours, service reports, action outstanding jobs
  • Asset Management Scheduling safety checks of vehicles and workshop plant, process data and action defects, maintain fleet records, coordinate equipment/plant for hire
  • Occupational Health and Safety Management Schedule workplace compliance and documentation, schedule training, maintain OHS workplace practices and procedures (e.g. chain slings, restricted areas, fire safety) and online OHS system.
  • Maintain Workshop Inventory and stock controls
  • General administrative duties such as field customer inquiries and assist with preparation of quotes/tenders
  • General administration duties in addition to above supporting our office and HR administrator.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a similar role or prepared to dedicate time to learn
  • Basic knowledge of accounting practices preferred
  • A high level of attention to detail, and ability to feedback issues to management in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online platforms


  • Completion of Certificate in Mechanical Repairs, OHS or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Police Check
