Boroondara General Cemetery is Australias first landscaped garden cemetery, is included on the Victorian Heritage Register and is a tourist attraction. The 12.6 hectares contains many significant monuments and a range of fine trees, some rare in cultivation in Victoria. The cemetery is an independent entity which continues to operate through memorial and interment sales, services and investments.
Boroondara Cemetery Trust is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for around 6 days per month for an initial period of 6 months, with the expectation of an ongoing role. Working closely with the General Manager to support the Finance and Investment Committee, the ideal candidate will have experience in MYOB Account Right data entry and processes in addition to exposure in financial modelling and analysis; budgeting; funding and liquidity reporting and supporting business strategic initiatives. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Skills and Experience
Tertiary degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent, CA/CPA highly desirable
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically
Proven experience in analysing financial data and report writing
Strong analytical capability with ability to take sets of data and provide insights
Strong writing and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively and be part of a team
MYOB accounting system experience at administrator level
Ability to introduce and apply financial systems from a functional and reporting perspective.
To be negotiated but expected to be an hourly rate commensurate with level of experience for around 6 days per month.
