We are looking for a Wedding & Events Manager like no other. Reporting to the Director, the key focus will be the planning and coordination of Weddings from start to finish, with a lesser focus on assisting with public and corporate events during peak times. We care fiercely about our couples and the right candidate will be as excited as we are to bring their dream Wedding Days to life in one of the most beautiful regions in the country - The Hunter Valley. 

Based in East Maitland, you will be a part of an outgoing, vibrant and supportive team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet & consult with potential new clients on a regular basis and convert to a booking. 
  • Management of Wedding Planning process from start to finish. 
  • Sourcing, engaging and negotiating with suppliers. 
  • Staying ahead of Wedding Industry trends. 
  • Creation of Mood Boards, Site Plans, Run Sheets, Bump In/Out Schedules and event documentation. 
  • Attending Wedding Open Days, Trade Shows and Expos as a representative of Hunter Events NSW to grow brand awareness and collect new leads. 

Key Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work regular weekends, for delivering Weddings, Wedding Consultations, Styling Meetings, etc. 
  • 3+ years Wedding or Event Management/Production experience, including creation of event documentation. 
  • Qualification in Event Management or willingness to obtain qualification. 
  • Team player. 
  • Drivers License and access to your own car. 
  • Well presented. 

Preferred but not required:

  • Knowledge of venues and suppliers in the Hunter. 
  • Experience with basic Graphic Design. 
  • Proven sales conversion history. 
  • Experience with Planning Pod software.
