We are currently seeking experienced, suitably qualified and highly motivated part time Security and Patrol officers to work across our client sites in Vaucluse and across Sydney Westerns suburbs. Customer service experience and or retail experience is essential and the successful candidates must be available to work weekends.
The Security Officer is responsible for delivering the highest standards of both customer and security services in a dynamic work environment.
The role requires an experienced individual with excellent knowledge in site security, building management systems and fire control systems; and the application of standard operating procedures.
In addition to excellent communication skills and stellar customer service attributes, the role requires the aptitude and knowledge to apply security risk and hazard management principles in the work environment.
An ability to work unsupervised is a must in this role.
The primary functions of the role include, but are not limited to:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of site policies and procedures
Provide high-quality front-line customer service and support
Patrol premises effectively
Monitor individual and crowd behavior
Operate basic security equipment / Operate basic fire suppression equipment / Operate moving walkways, lifts, escalators / Operate installed security gates, barriers and bollards / Operate access control systems / Manage keys / Operate Alarm Systems / Operate and investigate fire panel notifications in accordance with site/client protocols
Risk identification and issue resolution
Reporting and recording incidents and various other activities whilst on shift
Key Selection Criteria
Valid NSW Security License (Crowd Control)
Current Open C Class drivers license
Fire alarm panel experience advantageous
Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable in a dynamic work environment
Aptitude to apply sound emergency response principles
Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated
Retail security industry experience advantageous
Personable with excellent customer service attributes and the ability to engage stakeholders.
