Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor - Arborist, the position of Plant Operator- Arborist will Operate the Council plant and to undertake specialist tree management, maintenance and removal operations.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will possess a Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or significant relevant experience and willingness to undertake this training and will hold a Class HR Drivers' license. You will be required to have experience and be competent in operating the below:
National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard)
High-Risk Work Licence - Elevated work platform
Working near overhead Powerlines (formerly 5099)
Basic tree felling
Traffic Controller Certificate
Select and Implement Traffic Control Plans
First Aid Certificate (Desirable)

What we offer:
Starting salary of $55,668 (Grade C) + Super. All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Coffs harbour City Council Enterprise Agreement 2017 and the NSW Local Government (State) Award 2020
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Screening and Pre Employment Alcohol & Drug Testing.
