The Construction Project Manager will work closely with the Program Director over the four-year project and will have responsibility for the deliverables related to the construction of the ECU City Campus, from design and planning to contracting and trade engagement, through to final fit out, commissioning and completion.
The Construction Project Manager will lead all the construction aspects of a university campus of the future - urban, connected and integrated with business and community.
Reporting to the Program Director, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Exceptional safety and health leadership skills, demonstrating a commitment to best practice and in-depth understanding of safety and health legislative requirements and responsibilities.
A proven track record of completing complex large-scale civil construction projects within specified parameters (i.e. safety, quality, budget and time).
Expertise in governing authority requirements (including planning requirements), the Building Code of Australia and other relevant Australian Standards and legislation including Health and Safety.
The ability to build and maintain productive and influential relationships with executive teams, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (including local and state government).
Depth of experience with relation to operational and design construction issues that may occur in a live environment, demonstrating the ability to actively collaborate with relevant specialists to provide solutions.
