Communications & Engagement Lead

The Company

Our client is a registered charity that independently operates community-based services to over 300 home care consumers and day centre attendees in NSW and ACT. They are an aged care organisation whose purpose is to care for those in need with six residential facilities across six locations in metropolitan Sydney.

They take great pride in delivering quality lifestyle, accommodation and clinical and nursing services to clients living with them. For those clients continuing to live in their own homes, they deliver an ever-increasing range of in-home support services.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience & Transformation, the role plans and delivers high-quality communications through multiple channels to reach target audiences with meaningful, accessible, and impactful messages. Through engagement, planning and delivery, you will be:

  • Working collaboratively with peers to identify needs, manage issues and promote successes
  • Synthesising content in a way that is uniform and meets customer and organisational expectations
  • Providing project and change communications to support the engagement of our people and customers in organisational and customer experience initiatives
  • Effectively managing agency and supplier relationships
  • Creating compliance related documents, e.g., resident handbooks and admission packs
  • Producing collateral to meet compliance and organisational needs, including adapting output to meet both Group level and individual facility needs
  • Creating facility and corporate newsletters
  • Generating Website news articles and intranet comms
  • Producing employee engagement and project related comms
  • Monitoring and reporting on engagement

About You

This role covers both external and internal communications and, therefore, requires a dynamic and flexible communicator who can integrate and align communications against organisational strategy and customer needs. As a guideline, you will have:

  • A proven track record in a similar role, ideally within an aged care or human services organisation
  • Have tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or equivalent
  • A proven track record of partnering with stakeholders to develop and deliver successful Communications strategies, plans, initiatives, and campaigns
  • Provide communications advice to the business to build the brand and reputation
  • Demonstrated experience applying communications expertise to build engagement and reputation management
  • Strong interpersonal skills adaptable to a wide range of stakeholders; demonstrated ability to influence, develop relationships and collaborate effectively
  • Advanced understanding of communications and marketing technologies (incl. digital and social)
  • Suitable skill level in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to prioritise and plan in a busy environment of competing deadlines
  • Be a team player who thrives on working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving skills
