Transport Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Produces high quality information by transcribing and formatting various information flows into summary measurements.
  • Report weekly and monthly about operational as well as financial metrics
  • Statistical analysis and reporting
  • Develop new metrics related to transportation analysis
  • Conduct variance analysis for entire month service, expenses and quality
  • Maintain and update regularly transportation reports in relation to operations and finances
  • Research, create cost estimates, and negotiate transportation options and contracts.
  • Identify inefficiencies and budget variances and make recommendations to avoid them.
  • Collect, analyze, and make recommendations using data about timeliness, cost, types of goods, etc.
  • Generate periodic customer metrics and develop customer performance reports
  • Provide support to the National Finance team and accountants to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all finance and accounting tasks.
  • Provide relevant support function activities, including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, report generating, problem analysis, and all other transport-specific inquiries
  • General administrative duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, in particular Excel
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, communicating clearly and confidently with managers and staff on all levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to multi-task
  • Previous transport and warehousing experience highly regarded.
