Strike Fuels are a Brisbane-based (Hemmant) family-owned fuel provider specialising in onsite bulk refuelling and tanking solutions throughout South East Queensland.
About the role
We are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced professional Fuel Tanker Driver to join our growing team in a casual capacity. This role will be supporting the current Full Time driving team, to cover leave and excess demand from time to time on operational requirements. The role is available for an immediate start however we will work with the best fit for the role in terms of a commencement date.
Operating all Truck combinations as determined by your Supervisor and your driving ability/licence.
Driving of nominated vehicles operating in any of our districts, throughout SE Qld.
Transporting dangerous goods including bulk fuels and oils, as well as other products. Tasks relating to this might include:
Hooking up and unhooking of trailer combinations as required.
Loading at Bulk fuel depots and terminals, and other depots and terminals as nominated.
Strictly following all Company safety instructions and requirements.
Daily and regular contact re job requirements with your immediate supervisor and the management team.
Unloading bulk fuel at customer's sites, other depots and service stations.
Maintaining vehicles that you are associated with, by working with management to identify issues using processes in place such as electronic notification and logging jobs on the database, and maintaining of vehicle standards in terms of general cleanliness and roadworthiness.
As required pre-loading trucks.
Depot work (including truck and trailer washing).
Skills and experience
Minimum HC, MC preferred with a minimum of 3 years' commercial driving experience.
Capacity to confidently drive 19m combination.
Holder of a Dangerous Goods License and Safe Load Pass (SLP).
Other skills/experience/licences that would be an advantage but not essential (e.g. BFM accreditation).
Strong commitment to following and reporting health and safety requirements.
Good communication and planning/problem solving skills.
Maintain high standard of work ethic in all aspects of the position.
Demonstrate initiative within the workplace and team work skills.
