Receptionist / Administration Assistant

Canberra Hand Therapy is seeking a part time receptionist to join our growing team. We are an allied health practice comprising of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who enjoys multitasking and dealing with clients. Our reception team work very closely with our therapists to make certain our clients are well looked after and ensure the smooth running of our practice.

Duties include:

  • Greeting clients
  • Answering phone calls
  • Use of our practice management software Cliniko for appointment bookings, creating client files, and attaching reports and letters
  • Monitoring the administration email
  • Taking HICAPS and EFTPOS payments
  • Processing invoices and sending to third party insurance companies
  • Scanning and uploading of paperwork
  • Cleaning and keeping the reception and treatment areas tidy
  • Liaising with staff and assisting in adhoc tasks

Our practice is open Monday to Friday and it can be a sensitive environment where patience, empathy, professionalism and compassion are required. 

Previous experience working as a receptionist would be ideal or someone looking to get experience while undertaking studies such as physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Dependent on your skills, knowledge and experience, the remuneration hours and position (casual, part time) will be negotiated.
