Business Development Associate

LMS Energy is the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time Business Development Associate to be based at Unley, SA. You will be required to report to the Contract & Client Manager where your role will primarily involve building relationships with new and existing clients, assisting with business tender documents and legal contracts, and attending business meetings both intrastate and interstate.

  • Liaise with clients and manage business partnerships
  • Manage landfill biogas contracts and assist with drafting contracts as required
  • Assist with identifying and pursuing landfill biogas business development activities
  • Prepare and manage tenders for landfill biogas and related opportunities
  • Build relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Collaborate with LMS Operations and Biogas teams to help optimise landfill biogas site performance with clients
  • Explore alternative business and technology opportunities with existing clients
  • Perform research to identify, screen and develop new landfill biogas or other renewable energy business opportunities
  • Provide overall support for the Commercial Group


  • Business Degree/Diploma
  • 2+ years working experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business and professional writing skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen 
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Passionate about renewable energy
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Regular intrastate and interstate travel to meet and develop client relationships
  • Australian drivers license
  • Upholds LMS company values and culture
