Administration Assistant

MBL Bananas is a family owned and operated banana growing business, our product is shipped Nationally. We are currently seeking a highly organised, reliable, team orientated person. This position requires a well-presented person with a positive attitude to join our Administrative team.

Administrative Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
  • Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
  • Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Completes operational requirements of the business by scheduling and compiling administrative projects for yearly Audits and other farm-based requirements.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Supports team by performing tasks related to organisation and strong communication.
  • Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

We are seeking a Casual Administration Assistant, 1-2 days per week. To prosper in this role, you need to be a highly motivated, resilient, friendly and professional and have an exceptional eye for detail.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Administrative Assistant experience
  • Previous Audit Systems experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • Sound Knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Valid drivers license
