Allgo Engineering are a part of the HE Parts International group.  We provide all machining services for Mining, Oil and Gas and a variety of other commercial customers. Over the last 30 years, we have built a reputation of a consistently high level of service.

Are you looking to kick start your career in a trade A fantastic opportunity is available for an Apprentice Fitter and Machinist. We are looking to hear from motivated individuals that have a passion for the mechanical industry, have a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to complete a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade

Working as an Apprentice you will be exposed to a variety of tasks which may include

  • Under Supervision, learning the skills to be part of the Workshop team
  • Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations)
  • Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
  • Study blueprints and use measuring instruments to shape parts to be machined

To be considered for the position you must demonstrate the following

  • Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context;
  • Able to demonstrate team working skills;
  • Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn;
  • A strong work ethic which means you will be reliable, punctual and honest and committed to completing your trade qualification
  • Completed Year 10 Education
  • Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport

The successful applicants will be entering into a 4-year training contract. You will receive full on the job and TAFE training as well as guidance and mentoring from qualified trades personnel.

Candidates who have completed a pre-apprentice course and /or are part way through an apprenticeship in the same field will be highly regarded and are encouraged to apply.
