Are you looking to kick start your career in a trade A fantastic opportunity is available for an Apprentice Fitter and Machinist. We are looking to hear from motivated individuals that have a passion for the mechanical industry, have a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work as part of a team.

Hands-on experience with a globally recognised company
Ongoing coaching, mentoring and support to complete a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
Working as an Apprentice you will be exposed to a variety of tasks which may include
Under Supervision, learning the skills to be part of the Workshop team
Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations)
Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
Study blueprints and use measuring instruments to shape parts to be machined
To be considered for the position you must demonstrate the following
Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context;
Able to demonstrate team working skills;
Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn;
A strong work ethic which means you will be reliable, punctual and honest and committed to completing your trade qualification
Completed Year 10 Education
Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport
The successful applicants will be entering into a 4-year training contract. You will receive full on the job and TAFE training as well as guidance and mentoring from qualified trades personnel.
Candidates who have completed a pre-apprentice course and /or are part way through an apprenticeship in the same field will be highly regarded and are encouraged to apply.
