An exciting opportunity arisen for a dynamic person to lead the  day to day operation at "Doughboy Mountain" as the Manager.


Doughboy Mountain covers approx. 2,000ha, and is situated on the NSW Northern Tablelands, close to the city of Armidale. The property operates a cross bred beef herd and  beef fattening enterprise. An understanding of pasture establishment and grazing management is critical to the success of the role. In addition some 1st X lamb fattening is undertaken. The position reports to the manager, "Congi Station" , Walcha.


The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the commercial and technical aspects of managing livestock production enterprises, including:


  • Experience in handling large numbers of livestock. (Beef & Sheep)
  • Strong leadership qualities with an ability to train, mentor & manage staff in an enjoyable team environment.
  • Experienced in pasture and fodder crop establishment.
  • Strong grazing management skills, maximising animal performance.
  • A strong commitment to employee safety and WH&S practices
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to the highest standards of animal health and welfare.
  • Possess good working dogs.
