About the role
The Marketing & Communications Officer will provide administrative and project assistance to support the achievement of strategic organisational priorities across Sports Medicine Australias Marketing, Communications, Membership, Events, Publication and Stakeholder Engagement functions.
Supporting the development and implementation of a national marketing and communication calendars and plans
Contributing to content creation for and function of SMA communication channels including website, membership portal, mail outs and newsletters, social media, blog, promotional collateral and media releases
Providing support for proofing, editing, design, file management, print/distribution and dissemination tasks
Protecting the integrity of SMAs corporate style and brand identity
Providing marketing and project support to internal teams and SMA volunteer networks
Producing accurate data and reports from database and analytics sources
Providing high quality customer service to members, staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners
Providing remote or on-site customer service, administrative and logistics support to SMA events and meetings
Contribute to a positive team culture
Skills, abilities and competencies
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent
Minimum 1 years' experience working in marketing or communications, preferably for a membership association, not-for-profit, or peak industry organisation
Confidence in working with diverse stakeholders including senior executive staff, board directors, academics, highly qualified professionals, sponsors, advertisers and media contacts
Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills
Strong written communication skills across multiple formats, targeted to diverse audiences
Strong relationship-building, customer service and community engagement skills
Excellent computer skills including Office365 and marketing/membership databases
Experience with WordPress, MailChimp, Canva, Adobe suite and Google Analytics preferred
Photography and video-making skills desirable
