In the role of Lead Factory Technician, you will be required to oversee and participate in all of levels of factory operations. You will take a role in ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient and effective through developing a cycle of continuous improvement across all factory workflows.
Working in a dynamic start-up environment as a key member of our team, you will be directly involved in the continuous development and improvement of general factory operations - including but not limited to the key areas of:
Work Flow Management
Occupational Health and Safety Protocol adherence and development
Working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management Staff, you will help drive Stonelakes Research and Development and manufacturing objectives, while maintaining a high level of organisational, communication and management skill.
Extensive hands on experience using various machinery and power tools with demonstrable experience in a related industry to verify this.
Experience working in a variety of technical roles related to the construction/manufacturing/mechanical engineering/fitter and turning industry, and experience in working to exact measurements.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and technical writing skill, able to communicate via written correspondence efficiently and with clarity.
Demonstrate reliability, be enthusiastic and demonstrate a strong work ethic, able to work independently to specific time frames.
Analytical and pragmatic approach to business workflows including the ability to see manufacturing processes holistically.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with different personalities and across different areas of the business.
Experience in the manufacturing industry must be demonstrated by the successful candidate. This may include trade qualifications, tertiary qualifications or commensurate years of experience in the industry.
Other Desirable Skills
Experience in similar management roles will also be required demonstrating high level knowledge in project management and overall management and organisational skills, and skills/knowledge in MS Project or the like.
Demonstrable knowledge of the building and construction industry including the ability to demonstrate currency of knowledge.
Demonstrable knowledge in the manufacturing and operations industries, including the ability to demonstrate currency of knowledge and previous references.
Knowledge of 3D design programs such as Solidworks or Enroute.
A passion and knowledge for engineering and design, and the ability to show this passion through previous experience and/or current personal activities/hobbies.
A keen interest and enthusiasm to turn ideas into a reality.
