IP & TPD Claims Manager

Leverage your insurance knowledge and understanding of IP and TPD claims and move into a hands-on role where you have sole responsibility of the end-to-end management of a portfolio of life insurance claims. 

The Role 

As a Claims Manager, you will provide professional claims management services to members relating to life and disability insurance claims. You will be responsible for assessing claims for the benefit entitlement by reviewing policy, evidence and information. Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Working collaboratively with members and stakeholders to obtain information, provide updates and develop tailored plans of action 
  • Deliver personalised outcomes and find innovative ways to support claimants 
  • Accurately complete and validate claims ensuring that they are in accordance with the claims strategy, and are accurately recorded 

You will be supported by an intensive in-house training program, providing claims management skills and knowledge, as well as the development of innovative claims strategies.

Your Background 

  • Ability to gain a high level of knowledge of the processes and investigative techniques of life insurance claims 
  • Solid attention to detail, high level of compliance 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to empathise 
  • Analytical skills and ability to problem solve 
  • Ability to balance timely administration and customer service within a deadline driven environment
