Production Engineer

We are searching for an experienced Production Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our Bankstown facility.  

In the Production Engineer role you will be tasked with translating customer designs and specifications into detailed manufacturing instructions, providing technical support and production aids to manufacturing operations. You will problem solve and be involved in the implementation of process changes that improve the manufacturing process and ensure compliance with customer quality requirements. 

Snapshot of the role:

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing functions
  • View and interrogate customer models and specifications to gather requirements for creation of detailed procedures and processes
  • Use of ERP system to construct work orders and Bill of Materials (BOMs) from information contained in customer specifications and requirements
  • Support manufacturing operations to identify and implement process improvements
  • Root cause analysis of production problems and
    implementation of robust corrective actions
  • Provide operational support to company assets e.g. kitting machine, laser projectors, ovens, autoclaves etc.
  • Maintain configuration of planning documents and their
    release to operations
  • Assess changes to customer designs and specifications and implement changes in the manufacturing process

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering in Aerospace, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
  • Aerospace/Production Engineering experience with products made from composite materials
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of CAD Systems (CATIA V5 ideal)
