Teys Australia Condamine Pty Ltd is a 28,000 head feedlot facility that is part of the Teys Groups of companies. The feedlot site located at CONDAMINE on the Western Darling Downs offers modern new plant and equipment to ensure that the quality and reliability is producing consistantly through out the operation. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all livestock and commodity data is accurately maintained in accordance with QA guidelines, and general administrative requirements within the team at the Condamine feedlot and between Teys processing plants.
Responsibilities would include:
Livestock data entry into feedlot programs - StockaID and FY3000
Accurately weighing livestock and commodity trucks and ensuring documentation is correct
Providing data in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with QA standards
Reconciling of NLIS database
Provide professional administrative support to the team, answering phones, filing, liaising with visitors.
The use of excel, word processing and database applications
General administration tasks, ensuring office is organized, clean and presentable.
Skills and Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience using Elynx systems
Understanding of the cattle / livestock industry
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and agricultural systems
A strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple points of contact and flexible in completion of tasks
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Effective listening skills
Prior experience within the feedlot industry is not essential, however an understanding of a similar agricultural role would be preferable. This role requires a person with a genuine interest in the cattle and beef industry, who is passionate and has a commitment to learn and development their administrative skills and improve processes. Roster is a Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, however the successful applicant would need to be flexible for late finishes when required.
