Food South Australia is the state's peak body for the food and beverage industry in South Australia. Our mission is to support and sustain the state's food and beverage industry.

Our offices are located in Urrbrae and we are looking for an experienced Senior Office Manager to manage our Financial & Administrative systems and processes.

About the Role:

This role is suitable for an experienced Office Manager who is looking to work independently whilst being the go-to person for our team of Program Managers and support staff.

This is a key full time role within our organisation and would suit someone who loves being busy and working in a supportive and friendly team. You will be the 2IC for the CEO and will interact with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • All finance & administration tasks, including monthly payroll, invoicing, payables, bank reconciliations, monthly journals and reporting.
  • HR including updating, developing and implementing policies and procedures for the office, recruitment, inductions and ongoing compliance.
  • Annual Operating Plan reporting and EMDG preparation.
  • Administrative/Project Support, Board & operational support.

About you

Requirements:

  • Solid experience as an Office Manager (at least 5 years).
  • Highly skilled in financial reporting, bookkeeping and accounts.
  • High degree of working knowledge of accounting programs, preferably Xero.
  • Proficient in performing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Understand Payroll legislative requirements & processing.
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting Practices and legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of HR, recruitment best practice, training and IR law and legislation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work well within tight deadlines and manage your own time effectively.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Show a demonstrated ability to think strategically and be able to develop new processes and procedures to improve the Finance/Admin business area when necessary.
  • Experience in a project management environment will be highly regarded.
