Territory Manager - Newcastle CBD or Central Coast Region

The Provedores is a leading supplier of quality food products, we operate from the central to far north coast of NSW. Our business and customer based are growing and we are seeking a Territory Manager for our southern branch, to help us achieve our growth targets and expand our sales locally.


We want to hear from you if you are an experienced territory manager, or an ex chef, or passionate foodie who has a natural flair for sales. Your job as territory manager is to showcase our exclusive range of non-alcoholic beverages, cheese's and smallgoods. You will be responsible for driving the sale of our products across restaurants, cafes, independent grocers in the Newcastle CBD or Central Coast region.  You will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring all customers business expectations are met, through a call cycle routine
  • Increasing product range and knowledge with existing customers
  • Identifying & develop new business opportunities in a targeted manner
  • Identifying low margin business and work towards improving profitability
  • Working cooperatively across the company sales team to achieve our growth plan
  • Reporting on industry trends and competition offers in your territory
  • Identifying new business opportunities and communicate these to management to explore viability
  • Preparing and presenting sales reports
  • Achieving sales KPIs and meeting quarterly targets


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous 3-4 years sales experience with demonstrated track record of sales success 
  • Proven experience in a similar role (preferable in food industry)
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian grocery / deli industry
  • Track record of developing, driving and achieving sales plans
  • Ability to sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting your style to a wide variety of audiences 
  • Excellent relationship/account management skills with commercial acumen and street smarts
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Hardworking and get the job done at all costs attitude 
  • Fast learner with the ability to think on your feet and work autonomously
  • The ability to move quickly to meet short lead times for proposals, ensuring client objectives are met
  • Full clean Australian driving license and must own a car 
  • Must have citizenship or the right to work in Australia

We are offering an attractive base salary, including car allowance, mobile phone & Ipad. The exact territory you manage is negotiable and dependent on your location, either the Central Coast or Newcastle CBD. The final decision will be made at time of offer.
