ROLE PURPOSE

Reporting to the Property Manager, the role of the Supervisor involves (but not limited to):

  • The seamless operation, functionality and delivery of quality cleaning and laundry services of the College. 

  • To keep the Property Manager informed of any issues and developments within the supervisors areas of responsibility as described in this position description. 


QUALIFICATIONS

It is preferred a suitable candidate will hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the ongoing compliance to the (ie) Quality Systems in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 9001 2008 and AISWA guidelines; 

  • Complete weekly rosters in terms of the Award requirements

  • Ensure staff timesheets are completed correctly

  • Assist the Property Manager in maintaining and delivering the required outcomes. 

  • Ensure services meet the regulatory requirements and expectations. 

  • Maintain regular quality contact with all cleaning employees and Property Manager; 

  • Monitor, inspect, measure, correct and report the quality of services provided on a daily, weekly, monthly and periodic basis. 

  • Where required to support the Property Manager to ensure an effective and compliant cleaning regime. 

  • When required, monitor and manage employee performance reporting 

  • Assess, monitor and recommend continuous services improvement 

  • Assist with the recruitment of employees in line with the Carey Cleaning Team objectives. 

  • Assist with the delivery of inductions, orientation, and ongoing training for all frontline employees. 

  • Ensure that employees have the equipment and resources required for staff to perform the required duties. 

  • Support the WHS initiatives and policies and procedures of Carey Baptist College 

  • Ensure that all staff accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated in accordance with the relevant incident reporting policies and procedures thus fostering a proactive safety culture providing a safe and healthy environment for all 

  • Counsel all employees in a caring, empathetic, and supporting manner 

  • Forward all relevant information for the purposes of processing pays and invoicing 

  • Maintain company records and documentation in accordance with QA requirements 

  • Maintain confidentiality and credibility of company information and processes 

  • Work with senior management to maintain, and where possible, improve business functions 

  • Fulfil the role of the Manager in the case of absenteeism or leave 

  • Attend contribute and where required lead regular team meetings and 

  • Participate in staff development opportunities as planned and required

KEY FUNDAMENTALS 

  • conduct all business transactions in an ethical, confidential, efficient, and professional manner 

  • experience in supporting and managing multiple employees in a supervisory capacity 

  • some experience in cross-cultural communication

  • extensive experience in the provision of soft services such as but not limited to commercial cleaning and laundry services 

  • capable of ensuring the provision of quality service and experience 

  • flexible approach to organisational change and willingness to actively participate in team meetings and decision-making processes 

  • must be highly motivated, innovative in thought processing and self-driven 

  • observe and practice the WHS and Quality policy, guidelines and procedures 

  • actively participate in the annual performance review process. 

  • When dealing with routine matters, the position has independence in decision making, however for more complex issues the position is subject to the general supervision by the Property Management in order to achieve clear objectives

 

SELECTION CRITERIA 

Applicants applying for this position will have:

  • Cert  IV in Training and Assessment.
  • An active Christian faith.
  • Appropriate skills and experience.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to achieve excellence.
  • Current Pastors Reference.
