Enza Zaden Australia Pty Ltd has breeding stations in Narromine, New South Wales and Pukekohe, New Zealand.  Our focus is on the development of new cauliflower, pumpkin, lettuce and onion varieties.

Owing to staff changes at our research station in Narromine, NSW, we are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for the position of:

Office Assistant Part-time

Job Specifications  

The successful candidate will be responsible to providing relevant support for Administration, bookkeeping and accounting functions and other general support as required. The position is part-time 40 hours per fortnight. (3 day/2 day cycle)

.Key Job Skills

  1. Needs to be willing to undertake and complete various different types of tasks, as required to support a small, but dynamic administration team.
  2. The successful candidate needs to be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn new skills and systems.
  3. Is able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve by independently researching and reading and to report back to manager if required.
  4. Is able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all duties and tasks.
  5.  Can demonstrate skills in accounts payable/accounts and general book-keeping.
  6.  Experience or qualifications in accounting principles and practices.
  7. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Software and MYOB would be an advantage.
  8. Experience or qualification that demonstrates knowledge and ability to use standard computer software programs.
  9. After a period of training to be able to work reasonably independently and to be able prioritise and schedule own workloads.
  10. Has good communication skills and has fluent written and spoken English.
  11. Current Authorised Officer qualifications, is not necessary but would be an advantage.
  12. Applicants should have the right to work in Australia.

Summary of Main Duties

  1. Works as part of a team to undertake accounts payable.
  2. Provide back-up support for Accounts receivable, casual payroll.
  3. Provides telephone and reception service.
  4. Works as part of a team to undertake incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages.
  5. Undertakes Authorised Officer tasks for other staff.
  6. Undertakes other general office duties, as required.
  7. After a period of time, provide high level Accounting support functionality.
