Technician Allocator

Immediate start available, Full training in all our systems, Must be available to work between the hours of 6am and 5pm.

Service Today is a fast growing, family owned, quality emergency Plumbing, Electrical and Heating and Cooling Service Company servicing Sydney.

We are on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Technician Allocator to join our team NOW!

This position demands a highly motivated individual with strong communication & administration skills, excellent organisation and time management skills, and the ability to work in a challenging environment at times.

The key requirements for this role are:

  • Allocating and dispatching technicians within booked time frames

  • Communicate with customers to provide regular updates and responding immediately to any deviation from initial plans

  • Maintain strong relationships with our service technicians and office staff

  • Ensuring jobs are closed off and all relevant documentation is completed

  • Ensuring compliance with safety obligations under company policies, procedures and legislative obligations

  • Organising material and equipment for job sites

  • Ensuring the following days schedule is organised and communicated to service technicians

  • Completing timesheets daily for service technicians

About you: 

  • 2 + years experience in a Dispatch/ Coordinator/ Allocator /  role

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Sydney Metro Region

  • Customer service experience

  • Previous experience in a Trade industry (desired but not essential)  

  • Strong ability to multi-task

  • Computer literate with strong Excel skills

  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; 

  • Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and co-workers; 

  • Help maintain and promote a high company moral, professional, and friendly work environment.

The key to success in this role is to have strong time management skills, administrative skills,  problem solving and communication skills, ability to multitask, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised, be a quick learner and able to meet deadlines and ability to maintain and coordinate operations.

Candidates must have previous experience in a scheduling role. Previous experience  in the Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC industries or having a trade qualification will also be beneficial but not essential. Training will be supplied for our in house scheduling system.
