The Opportunity: 

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a State Account Manager to join the Foodservice Team. The role structure includes a mix of working from home and meeting with customers.  

The role of the State Account Manager is to manage a portfolio of accounts within the Foodservice channel. The objective of the role is to achieve the national & state sales budgets by optimizing customer ranging, improving sales volumes and maximizing contribution margin for our portfolio of products. Speed to market and distribution targets for all new product launches is also a key component of the role. 

The State Account Manager is responsible for a geographic area of Distributor, Key Account & End Users and will partner with our customers to understand their challenges and recommend solutions. The role involves meeting with new & existing customers 

The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Relationship management 

  • Activation of the SPC Sales & Marketing plan 

  • Achievement of agreed targets, activities, ranging, sampling and marketing initiatives 

  • Promotional planning, trade spend management & ROI evaluation 

  • Negotiation of trading terms (in collaboration with National Business Managers) 

  • Claims processing, debtor control, forecasting, reporting & CRM responsibility 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • A Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within Foodservice/FMCG 

  • Established reputation as a high achiever within a Sales/Account Management role 

  • A thorough understanding of sales, negotiation, planning, time management & financial principals 

  • Emotional Intelligence, self-awareness and be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment. Sound understanding of the Foodservice channel, customers and competitive activity 

  • A valid Australian Drivers License
