About the role: The Customer Assurance Manager is a technical leadership position, where you will be pivotal in assuring the safety and reliability of Unitywater’s assets by providing oversight and management of compliance practices of key customers. You will build relationships with customers who generate wastewater products such as trade waste, which require operating practices to be maintained in accordance with licence and permit requirements. Providing technical advice and working collaboratively with other water and wastewater specialists, both internally and externally, you will provide input to key initiatives and challenges and support projects relating to trade waste, wastewater quality, recycled water and environmental activities. Not only will you be a technical SME, you will also provide operational leadership, a customer centric focus and commercial acumen as you will lead a team and be actively involved with our customers in finding innovative ways to problem solve and deliver solutions that provide value to our customers and Unitywater.
About you: To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty& Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
Bachelor Degree in a science related discipline with a major in engineering or environmental science, coupled with significant technical experience in the water industry.
Proven experience in leading a team in a large water authority or similar customer focused business environment, ensuring engagement in assurance responsibilities.
Demonstrated experience and passion for creating relationships and delivering value for customers.
Certificate IV in Water Operation (Trade Waste) will be highly regarded but not essential.
Demonstrated experience in modern urban water cycle management and knowledge of modern sewage treatment plant processes.
People leadership experience, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership team.
High level of communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes, coupled with the ability to analyse and communicate technical information.
