APS3/4 Administration Officers (Finance)

The Opportunity:
Our client a federal government agency is seeking multiple Finance Administration Officers at APS3/4 level to join their Finance Team servicing Corporate Services, DCEO, and CFO groups.

These are initial 12-month contracts until 30 September 2021 with the option to extend, based in Geelong.

The Team
The Finance Team produces externally audited annual financial statements, the Annual Report, budgets, monthly financial reports and forecasts. The branch manages finance systems/applications and provides financial advice to support decision making across the Agency.

The Role

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Finance Team
  • Undertake some research and analysis activities
  • Work with external and internal stakeholders (including executive level
  • Provide advice and resolveissues
  • Organise calendars and appointments
  • Undertake research, analysing documents and data
  • Preparing meeting minutes and papers, and providing support in drafting written communications
  • Undertaking document and database management
  • Overseeing the procurement process and finance reconciliations
  • Administrative support to the branch such as organising travel arrangements and training sessions, and supporting recruitment activities as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in data entry
  • Previous experience in office administration and/or project support duties
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically with Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Previous experience within a similar administrative role, providing support to a team
  • Previous industry experience in government, health, audit, finance, payroll, and accounting teams
