Project Manger

A position has become available for an experienced Project Manager to join our passionate and driven team with the option to be located in Canberra or Wagga Wagga.

Our Project Managers ensure the smooth delivery of projects within time-frames and to budget while maintaining expected quality and safety standards and exceeding customer expectations. This is a key position within the business and reports directly to the Operations Manager.


  • Mentoring and day to day management of project team
  • Program management, progress monitoring, risk mitigation and reporting including quality control
  • Provision of advice on design management, technical and engineering issues
  • Cost Control and Forecasting
  • Understanding Head contract requirements
  • Develop & manage project plans, including scope, schedule resources, and related project items
  • Take ownership of budgets, programming, and contract management, adapting to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Receive and process new claims by arranging and conducting site inspections
  • Develop detailed and accurate scope of works to be quoted, assessed and managed
  • Project manage all projects through to completion
  • Oversee and work closely with chosen contractors on a daily basis
  • Manage timelines and deadlines ensuring trade contractors deliver
  • Ensure liaison/effective communication between Insured and Insurers
  • Provide a flexible and client focused service out of hours contact when required


  • Hands-on Construction industry Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects
  • Working knowledge of budgets and forecasting
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational, time-management and planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
  • Ability to travel
  • Experience within the building insurance industry a bonus
  • Superior time management capabilities and organisational skills
  • Clean and current driving licence
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite of programs is essential
  • Detailed scope of works and professional report writing skills
  • Confidence and knowledge of estimating insurance repair projects a bonus
  • Excellent communication with all clients internal and external
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, proactive approach
  • Flexibility, drive, commitment and dedication to achieving results
