Challenging corporate office role
THE CLIENT: Our client is a well-established international hospitality company operating a chain of hotels and resorts across the world. We are now recruiting for a Regional Financial Controller to manage the full finance spectrum of the companys Australasian portfolio.
THE ROLE: This is a corporate office role based in Sydney CBD. The position reports directly to the Group Head of Operations and is responsible for the successful delivery of financial outcomes for each of the hotel and resort in the portfolio. This is a key leadership position providing strategic direction to and management of the corporate and property-based finance and accounting teams.
Tertiary qualification in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant
Must have recent years of industry experience in the accommodation and hospitality sector with internationally recognise hotel companies
Demonstrated management experience in multi-unit hotel or comparable complex hotel accounting environment
Knowledge of trust accounting and strata management is essential
Demonstrated effective strategic planning, management, and leadership skills
Hands-on leader and able to work with the team under tight pressure and strict dealine
Dynamic leadership qualities and effective negotiation and communication skills are highly sought after
Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel and some of the leading Finance, Accounting, Payroll, CMS and Property Management softwares (including MYOB, SunSystems, Handitax, HiRUM, etc.) is advantageous
