Associate Adviser - Wealth Management

About the company
Our client is an independent full spectrum financial services firm offering accounting, business advisory, wealth management and finance solutions to businesses and individuals located just North of Melbourne CBD. Our client is searching for an Associate Adviser to join their team who is keen to become a Financial Adviser overtime.

About the role
You will be working alongside senior financial advisers to develop holistic strategies for clients across different demographics (predominately Wealth Accumulators). You will be responsible for meeting and developing strong long-term relationships with clients.
  
The business has a solid client referral pipeline with a view to transition new/existing clients to the Associate Adviser overtime. They are willing and able to support the candidate in their FASEA Provisional Financial Adviser year.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with new and existing clients to provide holistic advice.
  • Attend client meetings with Senior Financial Advisers.
  • Liaise with the Paraplanner and Client Services Officer to ensure that recommendations are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide overflow Paraplanning support when required.
  • Support and learn from Senior Financial Advisers with the intention of transitioning clients to the Associate Adviser over time.

  Skills & experience

  • Go-getter with passion for financial planning, who is looking to develop their financial planning career long term.
  • Bachelor of Financial Planning or FASEA related course.
  • Have either attained (or are working towards) a Master of Financial Planning or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • Experience working as a Paraplanner or Associate Adviser.
  • Strong risk and insurance knowledge.
  • Ability to build strong rapport with clients.
  • Demonstrated experience with XPLAN software required.
  • Proficiency with Macquarie platform highly regarded.
