FG Advisory is seeking an early career professional who is looking for an opportunity to grow in a company where innovation is at the forefront of what we do. While working towards a common goal of addressing todays energy and infrastructure challenges and helping to create a sustainable future for Australia, as an Engineer, you will play a key role supporting our growing team of Senior Engineers to successfully deliver a large number of Engineering Design projects with high-profile clients across a variety of Industries. As an Engineer, your role will require you to:

  • Develop technical documentation (concept design, detailed design, tender documentation, Tender Evaluations, Defects Registers) that concisely communicates the design, client requirements, compliance requirements, and baseline information for review.
  • Develop engineering designs (calculations, drawings, other design inputs) for review, ensuring that designs meet Client requirements, compliance (standards, legislation), and FG Advisory quality benchmarks.
  • Complete feasibility studies, schematic design, tender documentation, contract plan management and project administration for various design projects under supervision.
  • Develop tender packages and tender drawings for major upgrades by liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors throughout the tender process and evaluating tender responses under supervision.
  • Complete cost estimation, financial analyses, operational modelling, and total lifecycle cost analyses for projects under supervision.
  • Coordinate and lead facility site visits, audits, and customer meetings including presentation of work results, both internally and externally.
  • Develop high quality comprehensive reports, Notices of Advice, and other client correspondence for review.
  • Draw technical insights from operational information and site data, and articulate to clients with clarity and coherence under supervision.
  • Drive collaborative, proactive relationships with stakeholders and deliver high quality client service and assist in the identification and qualification of new business opportunities under supervision.
  • Maintain awareness and compliance with ISO 9001 QMS requirements, and to identify improvements to role and process related to (i) quality, (ii) customer satisfaction, (iii) risk, and (iv) continuous improvement.
  • Develop skills and capabilities aligned to FG Advisorys Engineer Success Profile
  • All other tasks required by FG Advisory as a Engineer



The role of Engineer is the perfect opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of consulting experience in the building services industry, who has a natural passion for sustainability. We are looking for someone who will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and is effective at communicating with all internal and external stakeholders, to progress the delivery of exceptional solutions for all clients. 

The successful candidate will have a reputation for adopting a proactive attitude and tackling all challenges big or small, and has a fervent desire for learning and growth. To be effective in this role, you need to be organised and can effectively manage your time.
