Our Client Our client is a leading provider of new and used agricultural machinery and equipment to the rural sector in Central Victoria. This group has been highly successful and has grown rapidly, and provides sales and services including maintenance, repair services and a range of precision agricultural technology solutions. Due to an internal promotion they now require a dedicated and successful Parts Interpreter to be a key member of their sales team.
Role and Duties The Parts Interpreter will be a key member of the sales team interpret and pick parts for customer orders, communicating and assisting customers to provide excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills for their needs. Duties include:
Assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate parts
Identifying the make, model and variations of agricultural machinery and equipment
Ordering parts from the store utilising the computer systems in place and external suppliers
Calculating tax, discounts and prices
Preparing invoices, financial arrangements and sales
Collecting, packing and dispatching or delivering ordered parts
Undertake stocktaking (regular checking and valuing of goods) and update computer data
Background in agricultural machinery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and a team environment
Eagerness to learn and upskill
Ability to handle a high pressure, high pace role
Thrives on working under the normal pressure in rural environments (sowing, harvesting etc)
Strong knowledge of rural industries and agricultural machinery preferred
Willing to be part of the fantastic rural community around Ballarat
Remuneration and Location Above average wages are available for skilled candidates, with significant overtime work available plus the provision of a fully serviced ute that can be used for reasonable private use. The role is located at Ballarat in Central Victoria, which is less than one and half hours by car from the city of Melbourne. For skilled candidates wishing to relocate from interstate the company will provide relocation assistance.
