Administration / Payroll Officer

Advanced Cranes & Rigging Pty Ltd, established in 2009, delivers first class crane hire, rigging and transport service across Western Victoria, Melbourne and beyond. As we continue to expand and grow, we are seeking a professional, energetic and positive person to co-ordinate and assist with our ever-increasing business.

No two days are the same at Advanced Cranes & Rigging, you will be kept busy.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administration of office operations, procedures and systems
  • Processing employee payroll and related functions for approx. 80 staff
  • Administration of employee inductions, training, personnel records, including requirements for apprentices & trainees
  • Documentation and administration of hired in equipment and land rentals
  • Assist Project Managers with claims, reconciling payments and retentions
  • Monthly reporting for projects including retention
  • Assist with and co-ordinate the implementation of new software and procedures
  • Building good customer relations and respond to invoicing queries
  • Assist with Tender submissions
  • Manage insurance requirements and claims
  • General Administrative duties such as preparing Invoices, processing purchase orders and assisting with Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Support for office staff for leave when required

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a similar position is advantageous
  • Exceptional Customer Service
  • High degree of attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organizational and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Technically proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience processing accounting and finance functions including bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll functions, superannuation payments and managing banking relationships
  • Experience working with Accounting System Xero would be ideal, if not extensive experience with a similar package is required
