About the business and the role

JMS Group Australia Pty Ltd are a well-established company within the mining services industry and are seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to take on the role of Business Support Officer in our dynamic team based at our head office in Rockhampton. 

This role is the first point of contact for our business therefore we require you to have a minimum 3 years experience in an administration role with the ability to multi-task and provide support to management and other team members as required. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a creative, fast paced and ever changing work environment.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Reception duties
  • Receipt of deliveries
  • Dispatch of freight
  • Data entry
  • Preparation of Purchase Orders
  • Assist Accounts & Payroll team
  • General administrative duties as required

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an administration and/or accounts role
  • Enthusiastic, with a strong capacity and willingness to show initiative, learn and be proactive
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Highly motivated and energetic with a friendly and positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask with great organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (excel, word & outlook)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience with Reckon accounting system advantageous
