OHS All Rounder


iDrilling Australia is a new name in the industry and is   backed with new Management and new strategies.Operating from Perth we have interests and work in the Kalgoorlie region. Preferably a regional position but working from Perth possible


iDrilling Australia seeks a flexible experienced OHS Advisor capable of making their own way in the drilling industry and with specialist clients. 

Reporting into the Business Support Manager, this role is predominantly field based and provides advice and assistance to the operational team in all HSE matters, including:

  • Developing pro-active strategies to reduce risk and to protect people and the environment.
  • Engaging with the workforce in a collaborative way, promoting iDrilling's organisational culture of accountability and individual empowerment to find solutions for OHS matters;
  • Partner with the Business Support Manager and Operational team to ensure consistency of site systems and to gain the benefit of any available synergies for HSE improvement:
  • Facilitate immediate management of incidents and near misses, using a learning focused philosophy.
  • Deliver training to iDrilling Australia Team Members in health, safety and quality policies, procedures, work practices and/or management initiatives. Manage day to day compliance and conduct regular checks on system use and compliance
  • Build relationships with client and regulatory personnel to gain alignment in OHS strategies. 


  • Appropriate qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety 
  • A couple of years experience in a similar role providing in-field OHS Advice, preferably in a drilling or exploration environment. 
  • Experience with, or understanding of the principles of managing KPI's
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment would be handy
  • Extensive experience in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments (TBRA's) and Control Measures including, permits and JHA's Inspections etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigation
  • Experience leading change in the development of a workplace culture focused on individual empowerment & accountability for OHS outcomes would be highly regarded.
  • Work with and not against highly experienced drillers .

  • MR or HR Licence and experience driving heavier vehicles handy to us, and you, but not essential. Manual Drivers licence is essential and experience on gravel roads and common sense driving essential.
