Recent changes to the Field Operations leadership model has resulted in the newly created role of Scheduling and Maintenance Services Lead in each of TasNetworks’ Regions (North, North-West and South). You will lead the scheduling team to ensure the efficient and safe scheduling of the Program of Work and Field Services. In addition, you will oversee the delivery of routine maintenance services in the Region. Driving continuous improvement and implementing strategies to deliver efficient and productive outcomes will be a focus of the role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting safety performance and managing risks associated with scheduling and field services.
  • Developing, functionally linking, and implementing a schedule of work for all planned skill sets.
  • Optimising and overseeing the delivery of asset inspection and meter reading services.
  • Improving scheduling processes and delivering analytics and scheduling variances to identify improvement opportunities in the Region.
  • Developing Team Leaders and embedding a positive and constructive culture across the group.
  • Collaborating effectively across Regions to ensure alignment of scheduling function and processes, metrics and productivity. 
  • Actively engaging and supporting initiatives, improvement projects and change across Field Operations and the broader business, supporting a continuous improvement culture.

Your planning or scheduling experience has been acquired in any operationally based sector (mining, manufacturing, utilities, logistics, engineering/contracting services etc). Alternatively, you are process driven individual with strong analytical skills and the capacity to acquire scheduling/planning competencies within a short time. You have demonstrated an ability to drive operational performance by presenting data and insightful interpretation. Safety is your first priority as demonstrated by how you perform every aspect of your role.
