Dommar an Engineering and Project Management company located in Adelaide South Australia has over 28 years experience building strong relationships with our Client's and understanding their project needs so as to provide them with the best multi-disciplinary Engineering, Project and Construction Management Support Services (including Permanent Resource Placements).
We urgently seek suitably qualified Project Management resources for a number of our Government Panel Clients, having Tier 1 Major Civil / Road Infrastructure delivery experience. Position description;
Minimum 5 to 10 years experience, to fill a number full time positions offering minimum 6, 12 to 24 month
The placements will be located within the Adelaide CBD South Australia.
Positions start immediately .
Tasks and duties:
Reporting to the Principals representative within the roles as Project Manager (Superintendent).
Manage the Principals and their Contractors design and construction delivery of various projects comprising of major road and infrastructure works (and bridges), in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
Manage, facilitate and audit the projects design and/or construction delivery including; planning, quality, technical specifications, cost and delivery schedules, dashboard reporting, field investigations, risk assessments, construction verification, Client and Stakeholder liaison including local community / councils / businesses / public, monitor & review progress, approve claims, manage change requests / variations, completion handover.
Manage project delivery whereby fostering safety and environmental compliance against guidelines & best industry practices, including Government Acts, regulatory requirements, Clients road technical specifications and standards, delivery procedures, verification and quality systems.
Understanding (preferable) of contracts for works using Australian Standard Contracts (typically AS4300, AS4305, AS2124) to manage progress payment, claims (change request / variations, inclement weather, delays, etc).
Review construction delivery methods and assess cost & time effectiveness of project works against plans, schedules, procedures, resourcing and plant levels, critical paths and milestones, testing and commissioning, contractor's quality reviews and documentation, etc.
Review, coordinate and facilitate work interfaces (including those with contestable and non-contestable agencies) across whole of project activities, site reviews / audits, approve test procedures / hold & witness points, completion acceptance approvals and As Built documentation, hand over certification, warranty completion and project closeout.
