HSEC Training Coordinator (re-advertised)

Successful Gold mine - poised for significant market growth, Competitive salary (with company and personal bonuses), Family friendly 8:6 roster (ex Perth).My Client wants its business to be compliant, meet legislative and industry standards and operational requirements – your input is to coordinate the continuous improvement processes and to overhaul the current training systems and practices towards this goal.

  • Lead the training department processes and make a difference with your fresh and innovative out of the box training incentives and training department development.
  • Showcase your ability to coordinate and motivate a committed, multi-site HSEC team of trainers.
  • Take existing training modules and make them work across multi-site and diverse operational models

 In additional you will:

  • Consult with all departments for their training and assessing requirements
  • Conduct routine Training Needs Analyses for all site roles as directed
  • Develop, implement  and  maintain  operating  standards,  procedures and  training  manuals  to ensure consistency across the business
  • Conduct external  and  internal  training  audits  to  ensure  employees and  contractors  on site maintain compliance
  • Coordinate and allocate adequate resources to meet training requirements across operations
  • Develop and deliver competency based training and assessment with particular focus on mining equipment (underground and surface)
  • Liaise, establish and coordinate compliance requirements under RTO partnering agreements

  Your required skills and experience include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ Training experience within the mining industry (underground and/or surface)
  • Additional mining experience as bogger, dump truck, water cart, loader and grader operators etc will be highly regarded
  • A demonstrable knowledge of  state  and  national  legislative  requirements  and  industry  standards  for training and assessing
  • Sound knowledge of Mines Regulations, WHS & Duty of Care
  • A strong focus and commitment to quality, compliance and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with INX Intuition
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities

  Your own training will include:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE 40116)
  • Valid WorkSafe High Risk Licenses
  • Current vocational competencies for task being trained and assessed against
  • Valid First Aid certification
