The Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator (HVCCC) is a member funded, independent, one-of-its-kind logistics organisation that coordinates the planning, scheduling and operational execution of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain. Through its unique end-to-end system view, HVCCC provides members with insights, advice and analysis to improve efficiency and maximise their value from the shared infrastructure of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain.
The role of Strategic Improvement Specialist, reporting to the Capacity Planning Manager, works closely with key stakeholders in advocating and leading all aspects of improvement for services associated with strategic time-frames. This includes capacity and efficiency improvement opportunities and initiatives to support execution of the annual Business Plan and the HVCCC 10-year strategy.
The role will also lead and support strategically linked activity of work, following accepted project management frameworks.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline;
A minimum of 3 years in their area of expertise at a level of seniority and autonomy that is in line with this positions title and reporting line;
Robust understanding of supply chain constraints;
A minimum of 5 years experience in working in a complex and challenging environment with responsibility for leading and successfully implementing significant change; and
High level of computer literacy; sound working knowledge of all relevant software programs.
